Aubert Michaud is leading a soil and water R&D unit at the Research and Development Institute for the Agri-Environment (IRDA), Québec, Canada. He is also involved at the University of Sherbrooke CARTEL (Centre d’Applications et de Recherches en Télédétection) as an adjunct professor. He has degrees from McGill and Laval Universities in Soil science. His research revolves around hydrology, nutrient cycling and soil & water management from plot to basin scales. For much of the past decade, the multidisciplinary research effort of his team combined watershed monitoring, remote sensing and hydrologic modeling to develop and validate field and watershed scale management tools for farm managers, extension staff and watershed stakeholders organisations in rural Québec.
