Patricia Chambers
Dr. Patricia Chambers is a Research Scientist with Environment Canada at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters in Burlington, Ontario. Dr. Chambers received her B.Sc. from Trent University and her Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Her research has focused on a variety of scientific problems, in particular the ecological effects of nutrient loading from agricultural operations, industries and sewage treatment plants on the chemistry and biology of lakes and rivers. On behalf of the Canadian government, she has led national assessments to investigate the impacts of nutrient loading on Canadian aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Today, she will talk to us about setting nutrient targets to prevent eutrophication of streams and rivers in agricultural watersheds. |
