Jean-Luc Bertrand-Krajewski

Pr. Jean-Luc Bertrand-Krajewski is professor at INSA Lyon (The Institut National des Sciences Appliquées), France. His main research interests include metrology and modelling of water, sediment and pollutant transport in urban drainage systems, infiltration/exfiltration in sewer systems, stormwater treatment (particularly by settling), and integrated urban water management. He has published extensively and supervised many graduate students in this field. His broad professional activities include membership and service in many French and international scientific and engineering associations, including holding the positions of Vice-president of GRAIE (Groupe de Recherche Rhône Alpes sur les Infrastructures et l'Eau) and past chair and current associate member of the IAHR/IWA Joint Committee for Urban drainage, with worldwide membership of more than 750. Prof. Bertrand-Krajewski currently serves as co-chairman of the prestigious international conferences on sustainable urban water management held every three years in Lyon (including in June 2010).
